MaXXXine

Horror movie posters are one of the things that got me hooked on graphic design in the first place, and if it wasn’t for incredible designers such as Bob Gleason, I would not be where I am today.

As part of my study in high school, I completed a visual study taking a closer look at the evolution of horror movie posters from the 1960s to the 1980s. As my focal point for this project, I decided to design a range of posters for the movie “Maxxxine” as it was yet to be released, and I thought that with the 80’s theme of the movie, an older style poster was quite fitting. What came out of this experimentation was a poster inspired by Bob Gleason and another inspired by Macario Gomez.
